Day of National Sovereignity
On 20 November 1845, a sea battle between the Argentinian Confederation and the Anglo-French fleet took place on the Paraná river. The reason for that was a rise of custom duties for import articles on side of the Argentinians. Although the English and French were successful, the Argentinians could enforce their demands in the long term with help from Brasil and Chile. The 20.11. is an official holiday in Argentina since 2010.
