Referendum in Kärnten

After World War I in 1918, the troops of the SHS states, consisting of Serbs, Croatians and Slovenians, occupied parts of Karnten. They claimed more and more land, until even the government had to relocate their base. In December 1918, the people of Karnten decided to defend themselves against the occupation, but they couldn't count on help from the government in Vienna. The fight ended on 14 January 1919. The referendum about the belonging of the lands was on 10 October 1920, where most of the Slovenians decided, that they want to belong to Austria.
