Liberation of Italy
After the ceasefire in 1943 between Italy and the Allies, it was occupied by Germany until the capitulation of the Wehrmacht on 28 April 1945. The Italians already celebrated the 25 April 1945 as Liberation Day, because the Italian dictator Mussolini has been banished and it was marked as the end of fascism in Italy.
