Bruderklausenfest

The "Bruderklausenfest" is a holiday in the Swiss canton Obwalden. Saint Nicholas de Flue, or Brother Klaus, was a hermit from Sachseln and a pious and wise man which was already very famous in his lifetime (1417-1478). In honor of Brother Klaus and his canonization in 1947, many pilgrims and locals visit his grave and the parish church in Sachseln.
