Wäldchestag (Francoforte)

Since the 18th century, the tradition developed that the people of Frankfurt celebrate the "Wäldchestag" in the city forest on the Tuesday after Whitsun. The origin is not historically documented, but a document from 1831 says, that the first Wäldchestag was in 1792. There are festival tents, numerous stands with food and other stuff and amusement rides.
