カナダ独立記念日
On their national holiday, the Canadians celebrate the commencement of the British North America Act and the formation of Canada on 1 July 1867. After merging the colonies Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and the Province Canada to one Kingdom Canada, the belonging to the British Commonwealth was resolved. A lot of outdoor events like parades, barbecues, fireworks and flight shows take place in a lot of communities and cities on this holiday. The biggest festivities take place in the capital Ottawa at the Parliament Hill. Besides many participating Canadians and celebrities, members of the royal family also visit occasionally.
